Today is Juniper’s rescue day. On Halloween night in 2020, during a thunderstorm in Atlanta, she was found hiding inside an old tire at a junkyard—tiny, terrified, hissing, and determined to survive. She did not know then that she was about to become deeply loved.
Juniper came to Justice Cats because she needed time, patience, and a chance. What began as a rescue for a fearful little cat became a family story. She has taught us that a cat who seems unreachable is often simply scared, and that safety and consistency can change everything.
Honoring the cat she has become
This rescue anniversary is joyful, but it is also bittersweet. Juniper is now facing mammary cancer and the ongoing appointments, treatment, medication, imaging, and careful decisions that come with it. Through every hard day, she is still Juniper: curious, strong-willed, and so very loved.
Her journey is a reminder that rescue does not end the day a cat comes indoors. It continues in the quiet routines, the vet visits, the difficult choices, and the community that helps us keep showing up.
Please help us celebrate Juniper’s rescue day
If you are able, a gift to Juniper’s fundraiser will directly support her ongoing cancer care. If giving is not possible right now, sharing her story is a meaningful way to help. Every donation and every share gives Juniper’s care a wider circle of support.
